Why Hire A Videographer

wedding videographer, wedding video, videographer, wedding, video

In todays society where everyone practically has access to a video camera and editing software is it really necessary to hire a videographer? Since we are in the business of videography of course our answer will be yes. But there are some things that you should consider as well. That is just like asking since we all can cook, do we really need to eat out at restaurant? Yes we all can cook, but I do believe that most people will say that foods cooked at restaurants have a unique quality that cannot be replicated at home.  It is the same with a videographer, there are qualities that they have that cannot be replicated. Here are three reasons to consider a videographer.

Shooting Perspective

A professional wedding videographer will have a shooting perspective that cannot be replicated. That is because most people that are in the videography business are creatives. Creatives see things differently. Your videographer will have a trained eye to see thing that most people don’t see when recording a video. It is the same reason why people hire photographers to shoot wedding pictures. They know that the photographer will see angles, light and other perspectives differently thus providing them with the images that they want.

Quality of the Recording

A professional videographer will have the right type of equipment to produce the highest quality video. The videographer will have commercial camera’s, lighting kits and different ways to record audio to produce the right sound for your event. They will also know how to use editing equipment to produce the best end product. Putting professional editing equipment in the hands of a novice is just like expecting a student golfer to have the same results as Tiger Woods, just because they have a golf club in their hands.  The type of equipment matters and so does the skill of the person using the equipment.

Unbiased Viewpoint

Allowing a family member or friend to shoot the video will often have terrible results. One of the main reasons is because they will find it difficult to focus or be objective about what they are shooting. A videographer has a neutral connection to everyone at the wedding party and will therefore have a better advantage to shooting the entire event objectively. They will also shoot from the best perspective to capture the emotions of the day, not just the images. That takes skill.
